offers several services to the inmates... Because contact to the outer world is very important, we arrange pen friendships with death row inmates. It is also important to be there for the penfriends in the free world, to create long lasting friendships. |
To inform
about the death penalty basing on facts, we are working on
expanding this website and making it a wide-ranging
information tool. We also give speeches and use the media to inform about the true character of the death penalty. Our campaigns are a very important part of our work and are meant to save lives. |

10 Reasons
to oppose
the Death Penalty
1. The death penalty is inhumane, because of violating the basic right of a human being: the right to live.
2. How can one claim that killing is wrong by killing?
3. For punishment an adequate prison sentence in regard to the guilt is sufficient.
4. Life without parole is an adequate means to protect society in those cases where rehabilitation of the offender isn't possible; sex-offenders and repeat offenders for example.
5. The death penalty is proven not to hinder homicides. Statistics show that the death penalty is a brutalizing agent, rather than a deterrent.
6. The death penalty makes judicial errors to judicial homicide easily.
7. Those who believe that the death penalty is a „cheap way“ to “dispose“ dangerous criminals are wrong. The death penalty is more expensive than life imprisonment.
8. The death penalty is a „privilege" of the poor.
9. Death penalty means rassism - it focusses on minorities, but there is also "reversed rassism".
10. The death penalty is often misused for political purpose. Votes count more than justice.
